I didn't set out to write a spiritual novel. Sacred Crossroads came out of a period in my life when the things I once relied on: certainty, identity, and long-held ideas about success... quietly stopped working. In the autumn of 2023, I went through what I later came to understand as a complete spiritual awakening. At the time, it felt more like everything I thought I knew was coming apart, and nothing that worked before did anymore. The roles and labels I'd lived by no longer fit. Milestones that once mattered stopped having any meaning at all, and for months, I asked myself, "What's wrong?" But the answers weren't there. I finally realized I was asking the wrong question. Finally, I asked, What now? What remained was a stillness that felt unfamiliar and... uncomfortable... a space I would later understand as the void. I had no guidance, I had no teacher, but I kept going deeper. Instead of rushing to fill that space, I chose to stay with it. I let go of the need to immediately explain what was happening or turn it into something useful. I sat for weeks in intermittent silence, staring at the ocean, waiting for direction, connection, but nothing specific surfaced. Over time, something shifted. In the absence of noise and certainty, a deeper sense of knowing began to surface, not in the form of answers but as recognition. This book grew out of that time. I journaled for months, trying to find threads of understanding; asking, "Where am I?" and "What Now?" Then a spark. A message from the void, the instructions were simple. Start Writing. And I did. While Sacred Crossroads is a work of fiction, it's closely tied to my own inner journey. The fictional town of Cedar Springs, the character of Noble Manning, Elaanor, and the events that unfold reflect what it feels like to stand at a threshold, when the life you've built no longer quite fits, and a new way of seeing begins to take shape. I wrote to explore myself, using "story" as a way to reach places that explanation can't. As the book took form, I realized I wasn't alone in this experience. I met others who found themselves at similar crossroads: after loss, disruption, or a quieter awakening that doesn't come with a clear roadmap. If you've found yourself questioning what once felt solid, this book was written with you in mind. Today, my work continues to explore that space where the practical and the unseen meet. Through writing and conversation, I stay honest about what it means to move through change without rushing past it. I don't see Sacred Crossroads as a book of answers, but as an invitation... to pause, to notice what's shifting, and to trust what's beginning to emerge.
